With the "Go signal" from the Local Government Unit Of Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur, the Center for Disaster Preparedness Climate Resiliency Cluster in collaboration with the Rice Watch Action Network Inc (R1), Municipal DRRM Office, Municipal Agriculture Office and Barangay Local Government of Lower Tiparak initiated Participatory Rural Appraisal Baseline Data Gathering on July 22, 2020.

The activity aims to collect information on local situation of communities, especially on the issues of agriculture, climate variability and climate change including challenges faced by farmers. This baseline data gathering should be established prior to the actual conduct of Climate Resiliency Field School for possible climate change adaptation measures. Data gathered will serve as a benchmark from which the impact of the project will be measured in enhancing resilience to the impact of climate change.

During preliminaries, Mr. Nilo Munoz, MDRRMO, delivered COVID-19 safety protocols and measures. Alcohols and masks were also provided to the participants.

Barangay Chairman Leonil Yrog-Irog expressed support to the project amid Covid 19 Situation. Zamboanga Del Sur is currently under Modified General Community Quarantine.
