PROSPER 3 pursues Baseline Assessments in Tambulig amidst pandemic

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center for Disaster Preparedness through its Prosper Project continues to pursue baseline assessments on Coastal Waste Management, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction among 3 coastal/riverine communities of Tambulig in Zamboanga Del Sur on August 4-6, 2020.

With the support from the Municipal LGU of Tambulig through the Municipal DRRM Office headed by Mr. Nilo Munoz, CDP successfully conducted a Baseline Activity through focus group discussions which aims to collect information on the status of coastal resource and waste management including disaster management initiatives of the Barangay LGUs. Present during the event were Development Council heads and Sectoral Representatives of Barangay Angeles headed by Chairwoman Leonila Antiga, Barangay Sumalig headed by Mr. Cecilio Pansa and Barangay Cabgan through Chairwoman Cecile Villafuerte.

Gathered data from the communities will then be used during the formulation of Coastal Waste Management and Ecosystem-based Management Plans.
