Stronger partnership between the Center for Disaster Preparedness and the community of Barangay Upper Disakan in Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte is sealed through yet another symbolic signing ceremony yesterday, February 13, 2019. Stakeholders coming from the the different sectors including the academe, took part and witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the partner LGU, headed by Hon. Marciana Indag, and CDP, to jumpstart the second phase of CDP's Project Prosper. Both the community members and partner LGU expressed strong commitment to the project.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Office of Manukan through Dr. Ruben Buburan and the Provincial DRRM office through Mr. Allen Sison, also supported the activity. "Daghang salamat kaayo sa CDP sa bag-o na 'pud nga Project diri sa amoa. Magtinabangay 'tang tanan para sa kaayuhan sa atong barangay (Thank you so much to CDP for the new project in our Barangay. We have to work together for the development of our people)," said Elderly Organization President and incumbent Councilor Maria Sarah Dela Banda during her speech.

Prosper Phase 2 will focus on providing support to the LGU by enhancing contingency and barangay disaster risk reduction and management plans, including family preparedness plans among households, and initiating school DRRM awareness to harness inclusive resiliency in the area in schools.
