About the event
HABI is the Filipino term for “weave,” the ancient practice of forming fabric in a loom by entwining two or more sets of threads. From Luzon to Mindanao, various indigenous tribes still produce intricate and colorful hand-crafted textiles through paghahabi. This long and rich tradition has been passed down from generation to generation, yielding the finest materials for clothing, bags, baskets, mats, and tapestries.
