Workshop on CBDRR Training and Learning Circle (TLC)

Workshop on CBDRR Training and Learning Circle (TLC)

Participants from local and international NGOs engaged in training and community based disaster risk reduction graced the launch of the CBDRR Training and Learning Circle (TLC) in the Philippines. The one-day event was held last December 14, 2007 at the Asian Insitute of Management (AIM) Conference Center in Makati City.

Representatives from CDP, UNDP Bangkok, AIDMI, the Provention Consortium and ADPC spoke at the Opening Ceremony and Launch. Also present were leaders from communities that have received various training workshops on disaster risk reduction from CDP and other organizations.

Participating organizations had the chance to network and get to know each other as well as provide a statement of commitment on the learning tools they can share to the community and with the circle to advance and promote the objectives of the TLC.

  1. Hi! Am interested to know what the organization is all about and other activities you would engaged in. I am working on my dissertation for my Doctor in Public Administration about the Guadalupe River in Cebu City. I am focusing on the topic about Institutional Arrangement in Disaster Risk Reduction in Guadalupe River. I would appreciate if you could send me articles that I can use to arrive at the best institutional arrangement and partnership with the business and other sectors.

I will be communicating with you in the days to come, asking your help for the benefit of the cebuano people specifically those leaving within the River corridor.

    Thank you very much.
